Our trained home care attendants provide non-skilled, non-medical assistance to adults and disabled individuals whose health problems cause them to be functionally limited in performing activities of daily living. Example of services provided are:

  • bathing and dressing
  • meal preparation and feeding
  • light housekeeping
  • laundry
  • shopping
  • escort to doctor appointments, dialysis, etc.
  • exercising: walking the patient
  • transfer/ambulation
  • changing bed linen
  • assisting with toileting
  • running errands

Personal Assistance Service is available to Medicaid recipients free of charge under the state Primary Home Care and Family Care Programs. Non-Medicaid patients who meet the Texas Health and Human Services eligibility criteria may qualify for help under the state Community Assistance Service(CAS). For 2018 the financial eligibility requirement is a limit of $2250 in monthly income and $5,000 resource for an individual. For a couple it is $4,500 monthly income and $6,000 resource.
